World Green Summit

April 26, 2012 (via Straits Times) A top United Nations (UN) official has billed the upcoming Rio+20 summit in Brazil as the ‘best chance’ for countries to embrace inclusive growth.

Executive secretary Noeleen Heyzer of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (Escap) said such inclusivity would require ‘nothing less than a fundamental reset of the global agenda’, and a commitment by countries to green their economies by investing in innovation, clean technology and energy efficiency.
